Q. What is in the Members Area? Why should I sign up?

A. Our Members Area allows our users to save their favourite Kontraband content, view their historical activity and comments that they have made. In addition we are working hard to provide members with even greater functionality over the forthcoming months.

By signing up to Kontraband you not only have access to your own Members area but can also access some great content located behind the “Ninja Filter”. You will also be able to participate in our Chill Our Lounge Forum and interact with other Kontraband users across the site.
Q. So what is the Ninja Filter?

A. We deem some content on Kontraband to be unsuitable to individuals under 16 years of age. All of this content can be accessed when you sign up and opt to turn off the Ninja Filter.
Q. How do I save a video or any other content as a favourite?

A. Whilst you are viewing the video or content, click on the fave link, just below the description.
Q. How can I submit content to Kontraband?

A. Simply go to this page and fill in the relevant details.
Q. I’ve submitted a video, why isn’t it on the site?

A. Submissions do not go straight on the site – if we like them we’ll put them up.
Q. Can I put Kontraband stuff onto my web page?

A. Yes you can – whilst viewing an item, click on the embed link below the description. This will then show you what you need to copy and paste into your web page to make it show.
Q. Can I link to Kontraband stuff from my blog?

A. Yes – if you host your blog yourself, click on the embed link below the description. This will then show you what you need to copy and paste into your web page to make it show. If you do not host your blog, ask your provider if they support Kontraband.com embeds.
Q. Can I send Kontraband stuff to my friends?

A. Yes – whilst viewing an item, click on share – fill in the form and you’re done!
Q. I am repeatedly shown a disclaimer for content even though I have chosen to not see one.

A. This setting is stored on a session basis, meaning that everytime you close your browser or remain inactive for a period of 1 hour, your session will expire. In rare cases, you may be seeing the disclaimer more than once when your session is still active. This functionality requires cookies to be enabled for our site. If you are experiencing this problem please click here to reset all cookies stored for the Kontraband website (Please note: In doing this you will reset your ninja filter preference).
Q. I am always having to log in, even though I have ticked "remember me".

A. This setting is stored in a cookie on your machine. You need to ensure that you have allowed cookies for kontraband.com on your computer. If you have cookies enabled but are still experiencing problems, please click here to reset all cookies stored for kontraband.com (Please note: In doing this you will reset your ninja filter preference).
Q. What can I do if I have forgotten my password or username?

A. When you attempt to login but fail, you will see a link enabling you to reset your password. Alternatively, click here to go there now.
Q. How do I change my username?

A. You cannot – if you would like a different username, create a new account. This is deliberate Kontraband.com policy, to encourage our users to take responsibility for their reputation.
Q. How do I cancel my Kontraband account?

A. Send an email to registration@kontraband.com with the subject “CANCEL”. Please be sure to tell us your username and reason for cancellation. We will require you to respond to our subsequent reply to ensure you are the recipient of the registered email address for the account.
Q. When I go to watch a movie all I get is a blank screen.

A. Our Movie player requires the Flash plugin to be installed. You can download this from Adobe here : http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash. If it is still not working, please ensure that you have JavaScript enabled on your computer.
Q. When I go to play a flash game, flash cartoon, or soundboard all I get is a blank screen.

A. Make sure you download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. After that, if you are still stuck on a blank screen, try waiting for it to download. A lot of the times when you see a blank screen it is downloading to your system. This is especially common if you are on dial up. Give it a few minutes to load.
Q. I am on AOL. Can I still browse this site?

A. This site was designed for either Internet Explorer or Mozilla/Firefox browsers. We recommend either of those browsers.
Q. How do i submit a game High Score to Kontraband.

A. You will need to get a screengrab of the game score and email it HERE.
Q. Can I access Kontraband on my Mobile?

A. Yes – go to kontraband.mobi
